Adults and ADHD
Working with adults with ADHD has become a fast-growing part of my counselling practice.
Almost every day, I talk with clients about the ways that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects their work, their relationships and their lives. Some were diagnosed in childhood or adolescence but others didn’t learn about ADHD until adulthood.
Either way, they are looking for support, insights, strategies, and information that help them live well with this neurodevelopmental condition. As a counsellor who lives with ADHD, I am happy to help you make sense of the ways that ADHD impacts your life.
To enhance my own understanding of ADHD, I take part in regular training, workshops and conferences devoted to the latest research and interventions for ADHD. I recently completed training to earn the designation of an ADHD-Clinical Services Provider.
If you have questions about ADHD, I can provide you with information and resources that can help you figure out your next steps.
Please note - I do not offer ADHD assessments or diagnose people with ADHD.
I am happy to support you as you work with your family doctor on this issue or to refer you to local registered psychologists who provide assessment services.
